Rhonda Halsted is the best friend of my other OC, Candi Lawson. The two became friends when Candi came to Chicago for her Masters degree because she wanted a change of scenery from the coldness of Minnesota. Both women are somewhat cynical and snarky in their comments, and this somehow drew them together. The two eventually lived together until their graduation. When Candi got the position in Minnesota, Rhonda got a position at their grad school, University of Chicago.
Rhonda's field is psychology. (parapsychology) She was always interested in this field, but having her own issues and meeting someone like Candi further deepened her interests. Rhonda also has a psychic ability of clairvoyance. She's particularly good at gaining information from objects. She's often worked with the Chicago Police Department in hard to solve cases.
Rhonda currently works in research for the University of Chicago but she also does work for a psychic detective agency that her boyfriend Sky Wilson, who has Precognition with some clairvoyance abilities. He often joked that he knew he was going to be with her because he predicted it.
The universe that Rhonda appears in is the Real Ghostbusters. (also a potential to appear in the Psyche universe)
While Rhonda is busy working for the Chicago PD, Sky's business starts to boom. So he ventures into Manhattan to open a New York branch of their agency. While Sky is away, Rhonda starts having visions of one of the Ghostbuster's deaths. So she alerts Sky of her visions and quickly heads to New York
This story I have actually written, but never posted. I'm thinking of revamping it to add bits about Candi and updating the writing style. I'd written this story about 7 years ago, and I think my writing has significantly changed since then.
